How does HS4 Internet work?
Delivering HS4 Internet, using an independent network, puts us in control.
Using the latest technology, we can deliver fibre broadband speeds up to 100Mbps, directly to your home, without the use of your phoneline.
How does the technology work?
Transmitters are connected to fibre-optic cables linked directly to the Local Telephone Exchange.
The transmitters then wirelessly send the signal directly to a small receiver fitted to your roof.
How is this different to broadband through your phoneline?
FTTC (Fibre to the cabinet) uses both fibre and copper cables to provide your internet.
Copper cables are much slower and reduce the speeds.
